Atlas Technologies, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. We are seeking a "CANES Engineering Technician" to support the Submarine C5I CWITT and SWFTS Modernization Support Contract. This is a fulltime position working out of Groton, CT.

The CANES Engineering Technician will provide technical evaluation and perform the required corrective actions for CANES systems in accordance with DoD, Navy Maintenance Procedures, and Cyber System instructions; assist in the disassembly, reassembly, installation and testing of the Local Area Networks of submarines; and provide support in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, operation of CANES systems in accordance with engineering specifications.

You Will:



  • Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of CANES systems aboard submarines
  • Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions
  • Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
  • Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
  • Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
  • Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts


You Have:



  • U.S. Citizenship
  • A minimum of an Active Secret US Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Five (5) years practical experience with High School Diploma/GED OR three (3) years experience with associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent


We'd Be Impressed If You Had:



  • US Military Information Systems/Network experience
  • Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise System (CANES) networks.
