The 2025 ATSG Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-week initiative designed to provide college students with hands-on experience across ATSG and its subsidiary companies. While some positions may be listed under specific ATSG business units, all internships are part of our company-wide program, offering a unified experience that includes professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Interns will work within their assigned subsidiaries while benefiting from ATSG's overarching structure, resources, and program events. About This Internship The Flight Support Intern at ABX Air Inc. will gain firsthand experience in flight operations and dispatch support within a fast-paced air cargo environment. ABX Air, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), specializes in air cargo transportation and aircraft operations, providing airlift services to domestic and international partners. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students studying aviation management or flight dispatch to develop critical skills in flight coordination, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Interns will work closely with flight crews, aircraft dispatchers, and operational teams to support real-time flight monitoring and logistical decision-making. --- Key Responsibilities * Assist aircraft dispatchers in daily operations. * Provide direct communication support to flight crew members. * Monitor flight progress for charter operations, CVG, and ILN operations. * Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with FAA requirements. * Perform data entry and flight operations analysis to support dispatch functions. * Work closely with Crew Scheduling, System Travel, System Control, and Charter departments to ensure seamless operational execution. --- Required Skills & Qualifications * Completion of at least two years of a college or university program in Aviation Management, Flight Dispatch, or a related field. * Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. * Ability to multi-task and manage high-priority assignments. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work flexible hours, including various shifts and weekends. --- Preferred Skills & Experience * Background in aviation operations or flight dispatching. * Familiarity with FAA regulations and airline dispatch procedures. * Experience working with flight scheduling or dispatch software. --- Additional Information * Location: ABX Air, Wilmington, OH * Duration: 10 weeks May27-Aug 1 * Housing Options Available! --- Important Candidate Information All internship candidates must be at least 18 years of age and will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
