About This Internship

The Engineering Intern at Air Transport International, Inc. (ATI) will support the Technical Services Department by assisting with engineering tasks related to aircraft systems and structures. ATI, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), specializes in providing air cargo and passenger charter services for both government and commercial customers. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in aviation maintenance, engineering, or a related field to gain experience with aircraft records management, technical research, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities



  • Support basic engineering tasks related to aircraft structures, systems, and components
  • Conduct research on vendor and manufacturer manuals and service bulletins
  • Review aircraft records and completed engineering orders for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in updating aircraft maintenance records and supporting engineering projects


Required Skills & Qualifications



  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering documents
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, and components
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar computer programs


Preferred Skills & Experience



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Airframe & Powerplant Maintenance, Aviation Engineering, or a related field
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance tracking systems
  • Experience or coursework in aviation regulatory compliance and documentation
