Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra seeks a Pricing Analyst, Specialist to join our growing team.

**Position is remote, however preferred candidates to be located in/or near Mclean, VA or Harrisburg, PA position for corporate meetings etc.***

Job Summary:

The Pricing Analyst, Specialist plays a key role in shaping Acentra Health's strategic pricing approach to competitive bids and complex opportunities. This role is responsible for leading cost & pricing proposal development, refining pricing models and methodologies, and driving pricing strategies through analytics, automation, and tools. This position is ideal for a pricing professional with a deep understanding of government contracting, advanced technical skills, and the ability to turn data into pricing that drives exceptional revenue and margin return.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cost Proposal Development - Own the pricing volume for small to large-scale RFPs, RFIs, and task orders. Lead the creation of fully burdened pricing and cost models, incorporating labor, indirect rates, subcontractor costs, escalation, and fee structures.
  • Advanced Level of Effort (LOE) Modeling - Translate SOWs and program requirements into robust, scenario-based LOE models. Lead discussions with SMEs and operations to validate staffing assumptions, coverage levels, and delivery models.
  • Strategic Pricing - Perform in-depth pricing analytics and benchmarking to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate trade-offs and pricing strategies using data visualization and forecasting.
  • Pricing Technology & Automation - Design and improve pricing tools and models using Excel, AI, and Power BI. Recommend and implement automation or data pipelines to reduce manual processes.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling - Present pricing scenarios, sensitivities, and rationale to senior stakeholders using visual aids and narrative frameworks. Translate numbers into pricing strategy insights that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance & Accuracy - Interpret and apply RFP instructions and any regulations. Ensure all pricing submissions meet customer and internal audit requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as a pricing lead for cross-functional proposal teams, coordinating with Operations, Technical/Product Teams, Contracts, Proposal Managers, Business Development, and Finance to produce aligned, accurate, and competitive pricing submissions.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent related work experience.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in pricing financial modelling for bids and proposals.
  • Experience in government pricing, and cost modeling in a federal/state healthcare contracting environment. Proven success managing complex pricing efforts end-to-end.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in pricing government/public sector contracts for services and technology with Federal, State and Commercial clients.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience leading the estimation and costing process for large-scale ($30M+) proposals, collaborating with delivery SMEs and solution architects to develop precise, competitive, and strategically aligned operational models.
  • Experience with pricing multiple contract types to include but not limited to cost plus, fixed price, PEPM, PMPM, unit based, SaaS, and time & materials.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Ability to resolve moderately complex contracts and/or pricing issues.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of staff, explaining complex pricing issues in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Experience in creating Software as a Service pricing for new products.
  • An in-depth understanding of Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience pricing CMS, Medicaid, or other large-scale healthcare contracts.
  • Knowledge of federal and state procurement frameworks and trends
  • Strong writing, analytical, mathematical, and presentation skills.
