Salary Range: $18.26 - $23.10; Depending on Qualifications Shift: Days; 7:00a - 3:15p SUMMARY: To monitor and coordinate the loading and receiving of the bulk concentrates and juice in a safe, sanitary and approved manner. This includes, but limited to, ensuring the proper documentation is complete and accurate, inspecting bulk tankers to ensure they are acceptable to transport food grade material and initiating corrections and adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure the continued efficient operation of the process. - Setup lines, pumps and tanks to ship or receive bulk concentrates and juice.
- CIP and sanitize lines and equipment that will be used to move and store concentrates and juice.
- Verifies connection of feed/discharge hoses and levels of feed/discharge tanks for proper product flow.
- Review documentation on incoming tankers to insure tankers and product are in compliance with Tree Top policies and procedures regarding transportation of food grade products.
- Review tanker washout/cleaning documentation to ensure it follows Tree Top specifications.
- Review tanker prior load and kosher documentation to ensure it follows Tree Top specifications.
- Pull required samples of all incoming and outgoing tanker loads for analytical evaluation.
- Know how to locate and understand product specifications.
- Informs Supervisor/Lead person on a timely basis of all operational problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. This includes the documentation of operational trouble spots for corrective action.
- Scale tankers in and out and complete all required documentation.
- Keep bulk storage rooms and tanks in a clean and sanitary state.
- Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of the product, including but not limited to monitoring and responding to HACCP, Critical Control Points.
- Coordinates oneself in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; One to three month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years of forklift experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance, talk or hear and smell or taste.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read specifications and warning labels and to sort products, distance vision to operate lift trucks, color vision to sort product color coding, peripheral vision to operate forklift and operate line, depth perception to go up or down stairs and ladders, and the ability to adjust focus to sort product, to read labels, and specifications. Ability to use fine motor skills to operate small hand tools, calculators and lab equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and working in confined spaces and heights.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
