We need a Manager, Oncology Sales Training Capabilities to help drive the training capabilities within our sales organization. The ideal candidate for the role will have experience navigating learning management systems, complex matrixed team, developing skill-based training, copy approval experience and providing an aligned and objective plan for advancing selling capabilities within the Oncology space.

In this role, you will be driving the planning and execution of skill capabilities for newly hired employees as well as upskilling established field-based employees. This will include developing assets, methodologies and execution of skills-based training.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead critical activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Develop robust capabilities journey for newly hired/promoted employees to get them acclimated to ways of working within GSK.
  • Define, structure, plan and execute multiple programs that must be distinguished from each other with nuance skills that layer on each other.
  • Provide organization to keep all projects in order and move within time frames aligned on by leadership.
  • Provide evaluation and opportunity assessment for innovation opportunities that can increase skills and keep up with industry dynamics and meet business needs.
  • Challenge existing thinking and contribute to developing disruptive strategies and recommendations that impact our ability to drive demand within respective functions.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS)/Coaching Platform
  • Evaluate the current assessment trends, opportunities, and best practices to share with the leadership team.
  • Be the point person for Oncology for all capabilities discussions.
Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 1 plus year of project management experience.
  • 2 plus years of experience working in sales within the pharmaceutical biotech and/or health care industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for training events, sales leadership meetings, and field rides.
  • 1 year plus in training role with experience creating training content for internal use.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Ability to communicate with various internal stakeholders at high levels.
  • Ability to influence without authority across matrixed organizations
  • Substantive project management experience that can keep multiple projects on track
  • Experience vetting vendors and keeping vendors accountable for timetables agreed upon
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and creating learning journeys

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $143,250 to $238,750 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
