How You'll Help Transform Healthcare: This position is located at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRVMC) in Christiansburg, VA. This position is full time, rotating day/evening hours with every other weekend and rotating holidays. Position has a heavy focus on secretarial work and admission and discharge for our patients. Efficiently and accurately creates legal documents recording birth and death records. Manages data and records in a confidential manner. Completes required documentation to complete a live birth record for each infant born at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRVMC). Maintains knowledge of Electronic Birth Certificate system. Completes required documentation to complete a Paternity Establishment record. Completes required documentation for Fetal Death reporting. Maintains and shares statistics. Works with the healthcare team to maintain a professional and caring environment. Maintains confidentiality for patients and staff. What We Require: Education: High School graduate required, applicable college preferred. Experience: Previous vital records and/or computer experience preferred, Medical terminology preferred.
