Role Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product Development is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, researching market trends, developing product strategies, overseeing market testing, and ensuring products meet customer needs and company goals.

Plays a key role in bridging the gap between product offerings and market demand. The SVP, Product Development is responsible for crafting and executing new market ideas that drive the growth objectives of the company. By understanding market and technology trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, the SVP, Product Development ensures that Sirva's offerings align with business objectives and resonate with target audiences.

In this leadership role, the SVP collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and CXO, and IT to create cohesive and effective go-to-market strategies for new products and services as well as new markets. Their strategic vision and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams are essential for driving growth and achieving organizational goals.

The SVP, Product Development oversees the entire new product lifecycle, from strategy development to execution and performance analysis. It all starts with detailed market analysis and future trends. Listening to our people and identifying the new opportunities.

Key tasks include conducting market research to identify opportunities and threats, defining value propositions, and creating compelling offerings. Additionally, the SVP, Product Development analyzes performance metrics and customer feedback to ensure continuous improvement

Responsibilities




  • Developing comprehensive product offerings that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure unified product positioning and messaging.
  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Managing product/service launches to ensure timely and successful market entry.
  • Guiding the creation of marketing materials such as sales collateral and promotional content.
  • Analyzing product performance metrics to inform future marketing strategies.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Success as a commercially oriented general manager with deep operational and client development background. Organization known for world class customer service. We would expect that this leader would have achieved rapid career progression within a well-known Relocation organization within a complex operation where operational excellence, tight fiscal control and innovation led to significant growth.

Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, lean environment where resource deployment decisions matter and where the financial backers are involved.

Solid understanding of P&L/balance sheet; financial, quantitative and analytical skills which can translate into developing strategy and tight financial management. This leader must be skilled at establishing and monitoring budgets within a tightly controlled P&L.

Someone who enjoys coaching and developing winning teams. An executive who thrives on making "heroes" out of others within the organization. A mentoring style and persona who freely gives credit to others.
