SUMMARY
Responsible for the management of non-emergency and occupational medical care at worksites as designated by the client or content of the scope of work (SOW). Primarily responsible for the provision of healthcare to client employees and contractors and third parties in an emergency. In addition to providing routine medical services and responding to emergencies, performing safety checks and evaluations of necessary medical equipment required to perform the job. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
*Provide medical and occupational health services to authorized employees and contractors of Company and Company Group during the office hours of the clinic.
*Undertake appropriate and accurate clinical assessments and examinations.
*Perform assessments to determine if an employee is physically and mentally fit to perform specific job duties.
*Manage patient data by the use of RMI or Client based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, maintaining up-to-date, accurate, individual medical records.
*Report medical treatments in accordance with requirements of Client.
*Complete ongoing monitoring of employees exposed to specific occupational hazards
*Perform regular health check-ups to detect and manage early signs of work-related health issues
*Administer job-required vaccines to protect employees from occupational hazards, infectiousdiseases, or travel-related risks.
*Undertake training and provision of first aid services and emergency drill practices as directed bythe site emergency services entities and as may be required by the SOW.
*Be fully cognizant of project disease prevention, control, and management processes
*Coordinate with internal and external services in the event of an emergency, up to and including the development of emergency response plans.
*For emergency illness or injury cases, stabilize, manage, and monitor patient(s) until appropriate transporting emergency services arrive to take over care.
*Provide referral to company resources including Workers Compensation carrier and external referrals as required.
*Obtain and maintain drug and alcohol testing competencies to support company programs.
*Take appropriate action with regard to reportable diseases and communicable infection outbreak
*Ensure the clinic is maintained at full readiness with appropriate medicines, equipment and consumables as required by SOW/Work-task content, including daily, weekly or monthly maintenance and technical checks as indicated.
*Liaise with corporate medical staff to facilitate educational programs promoting healthy lifestyles and practices among employees as well as awareness campaigns on occupational health and safety.
*Support Client contingency plans for unexpected events, including natural disasters or public health emergencies. *Ensure completion and timely submission of reports, timesheets and other documentation as required by RMI, the client representative and the SOW
*Intake multiple pieces of information from multiple sources, prioritize and summarize in a clear, concise and accurate manner to all appropriate stakeholders.
*Maintain professional standards at all times
*Ensure compliance with statutory or company required training objectives and any client or SOW mandatory operational requirements
*Maintain current professional certifications, as designated for assigned projects
*Other duties as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
*This position may require supervision of on-site APRN and Medical Assistant. *Minimum of two (2) years as an independent and fully qualified paramedic, nurse, advanced practitioner or physicians National Registry Paramedic and/or US State Licensed/Certified Paramedic Locally licensed physician (MD/DO/MBBS/MBBA) without restriction Sous/UK/Canadian Advanced Practitioner including: APRN (NP, FNP, CRNA), Physician Assistant without restrictions. Previous experience working in occupational health REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: *Fluent in English (verbal and written) *Able to successfully pass any nationally required, project or SOW required Fit to Work medical assessments *Ability to write comprehensive reports, both technical and procedural *Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and report writing skills). *Able to prioritize a wide range of tasks simultaneously *Organized and detailed-oriented. *Ethical understanding of patient processes, data information and confidentiality *Awareness and following of HIPAA rules and guidelines along with an understanding of similar processes required by countries outside the USA *Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and general computer & technology literacy
* Ability to identify priority tasks, create a plan, and execute deliverables to meet immediate
needs.
* Be cognizant of the content and ethos of the RMI Field Operations Manual (FOM) CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
*Medical licenses/certifications as listed above, in good standing and without restrictions *BLS/CPR (American Heart Association) or equivalent *Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent(s) preferred but not required *Current immunizations as required by project and/or country's Ministry of Health and as recommended by the Center of Disease Control WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The working environment will often be in an austere location with limited communication and transport routes. Living conditions may be rudimentary, Special dietary needs will be difficult to cater for and should be declared on the pre-hire physical to assess suitability. The area of deployment may present extremes of temperature and will often be remote in nature with little or poor infrastructure in the way of roads and access. The areas of deployment may have a number of indigenous disease risks and all personnel must have appropriate immunizations as detailed in the pre-deployment health assessment guidelines. Malaria and Dengue are endemic, and it is possible that daily malaria prophylaxis may be a project requirement.
