*Description*
Our team has been supporting Meta since 2017 across more than 50 different pillars at Meta spanning Research, Design, Development, Marketing, Content, Data and others. Over the years we have hired close to 5,000 contractors and have gotten to contribute to a variety of exciting product launches. This role is on the Wearable UXR Interfaces team within Reality labs (which has close to 20,000 people aligned to it). This role actually has two areas of potential focus depending on your strengths and interests. The first is hardware focused in the sense that this team thinks about how AI works across Meta's hardware portfolio. For example, Ray Ban Meta's are out today and have AI today. There are a number of new devices launching this year and next and this person will need to think about how Meta updates the hardware for this year and the next year. There's an aspect of understanding the fixed parameters in a way that software doesn't typically have. This role would have a strategic lens and would allow for tailoring of the features and defining of future state. The second area of focus (if the first doesn't align with your strengths/interests) would be focused more on software than hardware. You would be working on new experiences that leverage history and context to help shape the AI to be more personalised and to make use of specific information relative to the user that would update over time. Both oof these are primarily a qualitative role (usability, concept testing) but there is also an opportunity to lean into dogfooding surveys and descriptive stats if those are in your wheelhouse. As a UX researcher on the Wearables UXR Interfaces team you will have the opportunity to partner with a diverse set of stakeholders in ideating building and launching brand new products. Research is paramount to this organization's success - formative research is needed to identify the right underserved needs or problems in the world to tackle with product solutions iterative design research is needed to mold early product ideas into testable prototypes and evaluative research is needed to improve and tune those products for market.
