Job Title: Sr. Data Warehouse Project Manager
Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
Job Duration: Contract through June + extension
Job Tasks and Activities:
- Manage all aspects of the PTO Data warehouse project across the enterprise
- Integration management: directing and managing all work for the project; monitoring and controlling the project work and managing any necessary changes; facilitates cooperation and motivates team members to accomplish group goals
- Scope management: Defining and managing scope and requirements; validating and controlling the scope of the project
- Time management: Planning, defining, and developing schedules, activities, estimating resources and activity durations; monitor the progress of a project; compare actual performance against planned/scheduled performance; adjusts schedule / resources to ensure that key milestones are reached
- Quality management: Planning and identifying quality requirements; performing all aspects of managing quality; controlling the quality of deliverables
- Human Resource management: Planning and identifying human resource needs; selecting, developing, managing, and coordinating a project team made up of multiple programs within Department and Vendor staff
- Communications and Organizational Change management: Planning and managing all aspects of project communications; define the content and the format of project communications / reports based on information requirements of specific stakeholders or groups; coordinate organizational change communications internally and externally (to include instruction and training where needed); ensure appropriate documentation is created/updated throughout the project processes; provide knowledge transfer to technical and non-technical staff as needed
- Risk management: Planning for and identifying potential risks; performing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis; planning risk mitigation strategies; implementing and managing mitigation strategies
- Stakeholder management: Coordinating and maintaining stakeholders from a variety of DOR and external entities and the public; planning and managing stakeholder expectations
- Managing the project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the Florida Information Technology Project Management and Oversight Standards - Rules 60GG-1.001 through 60GG1.009, F.A.C. Providing all documentation required.
Required Experience:
- PMP Certification from PMI (include Certificate #)
- Experience managing IT projects over the last 5 years
- Successfully managed the delivery of data warehouse projects over the last 5 years
- Managed large-scale vendor-based system implementations.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of / Experience with implementation of cloud-based data warehousing concepts
- Experience with managing development of a customer-facing application project
- Knowledge of / Experience with Snowflake Data Lake/warehouse
- Knowledge of / Experience in change management process and procedures (internal staff through external customer base). This would include enterprise and public communication / training planning and management.
- Experience integrating waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Knowledge of the Florida Information Technology Project Management and Oversight Standards - Rules 60GG-1.001 through 60GG-1.009, F.A.C.
- Knowledge of ISO / IEC 20000 Information Technology Service Management
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS-Project
- Knowledge of Microfocus PPM
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Knowledge of JIRA
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and schedule
- Ability to understand business functionality to support the project.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams on a project and keep them on schedule.
