We are seeking a Grant Accountant to join our team. Working as part of the Revenue Team, the Grant Accountant is responsible for various accounting activities, which may include preparing journal entries; reconciling accounts; invoicing contracts; analyzing expenses; financial reporting and analysis; and other duties as assigned. All work to be performed in adherence to the organization's fiscal policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the financial systems.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Prepare journal entries and review GL/Contract coding for accuracy.
  • Review P&Ls for each contract individually and analyze expenses against budgeted/allowed within contract.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret financial information.
  • Meet contract billing and reporting deadlines.
  • Reconcile contract advances and monitor account receivables.
  • Assist with the closing of contracts and fiscal year audit.
  • Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Associate's Degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years related accounting experience
  • Experience with federal/state grants and contracts preferable.
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, and accounting software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
