Job Description
The Events and Activities Supervisor is responsible for assisting in organizing, planning and overseeing the execution of both leisure & group events and activities, resort-wide. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: group activities, year-round family activities, theme weekends, seasonal festival and celebrations, resort sponsored promotions, culinary events and holiday activities. This position will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, as well as all other hotel departments, to promote and implement all events and activities. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities
- This person will work a fluctuating schedule that rotates between regular leisure activities and group centric sales activities and execution. For example 2-3 days in Conference Service working with group activities and 2-3 a week in supporting leisure activities at the resort
- Responsible for setting up and tearing down lawn equipment daily during Summer/Fall season
- Coordinates daily walks to surrounding waterfalls of the Resort
- Will act as a Recreational Conceirge, coordinating and recommending hikes, bike rentals and fly fishing.
- Participates in the planning and coordinates the special events and activities taking place at the Resort.
- Participates in the creation and implementation of weekend and Holiday activities
- Works with the CS Managers on the development of innovative programs and activities, for groups.
- This person will be responsible for the selling, planning and execution of all group and leisure activities and will work directly with spa, ski, golf, stables and outside vendors to act a liaison between the clients and the resort.
- Works with marketing on the continued development of innovative programs, activities and special events to drive leisure business at the resort.
- Identifies vendors who can provide groups with Group lectures, presentations entertainment, group activities for special events, Holiday weekends and Groups
- Responsible for making banquet event orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging requests and all other necessary paperwork for activities.
- Maintains a file for each special activity &vendor, etc.
- Works in all areas of the resort to support activities as necessary.
- Attends all activities and events meetings.
- Attends relevant BEO and resume meetings as necessary.
- Contributes to the team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Event promotion/implementation experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be attentive to detail.
- Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
