Join our Team As the Logistics and Material Handler Lead, you'll lead a high-performing logistics team, overseeing material handling, inventory control, shipping, and receiving. You'll work side by side with Production, QA, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure efficient material flow and accurate inventory management. You'll be responsible for developing your team, driving warehouse efficiency, and championing food safety and lean practices. You'll also guide your team in adhering to safety standards, warehouse best practices, and food safety protocols while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. What You'll Do * Lead & Support Your Team: Assign daily tasks, conduct shift huddles, train new team members, and mentor your team to meet performance standards and KPIs. * Oversee Warehouse Operations: Manage receiving, storage, and shipping activities; ensure proper staging of raw materials and packaging to support continuous production flow. * Drive Inventory Accuracy: Monitor stock levels, lead cycle counts, and ensure timely and accurate data entry into ERP (QAD). * Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning to align material availability with schedule demands. * Champion Lean & 5S: Lead continuous improvement projects, participate in Kaizens, and maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment. * Ensure Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA, GMP, SQF, FDA, STATE, and HACCP standards while promoting a zero-incident culture. Operational Efficiency: * Deliver raw materials and packaging supplies on time to support production schedules * Minimize material waste and optimize warehouse space through effective storage management (FIFO method) * Load and unload trucks for customer deliveries, pickups, and third-party logistics (3PL) shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper load balancing, and adherence to shipping schedules * Collaborate with production, sanitation, quality assurance, planning, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations. * Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles (such as 5S) to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Equipment Operations * Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification/training provided). * Conduct routine inspections and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance. * Maintain RF Terminals by ensuring proper handling, troubleshooting minor issues, and reporting persistent problems to IT support while following up on resolutions. Health, Safety & Food Safety Compliance * Follow OSHA and workplace safety guidelines to prevent injuries and accidents * Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, including GMP, SQF, HACCP, STATE, and FDA * Properly handle and store materials to prevent contamination or damage * Participate in safety meetings and report any hazards or concerns Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
