Job Purpose

This job involves being a technical resource in the Compensation team, aligning practices with business goals and market trends. It includes mentoring, leading projects, and collaborating on tailored compensation solutions. The role requires analytical skills, adaptability, strategic planning, and a commitment to continuous improvement and compliance in compensation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzing compensation policies and practices to ensure they support the business unit's goals, providing recommendations for enhancements to compensation programs as appropriate

  • Collaborating with partners in HR and at times, in the business, to develop solutions that meet the compensation needs of the business.

  • Adapting existing analytical methods to evaluate compensation structures and their market alignment. Lead benchmarking processes

  • Identifying ways to elevate compensation reporting and analytics to drive efficiency and deliver valuable insights to the business.

  • Leading compensation-related projects with a strategic focus on business objectives. In particular, leading the year end compensation process from an execution focus.

  • Training colleagues on the use of compensation tools and systems to enhance departmental capabilities.

  • Interpreting and applying relevant laws and regulations to maintain compliance in compensation practices.

  • Providing technical expertise in compensation to support the broader HR initiatives.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Possess a broad understanding of compensation strategies and their impact on business goals.

  • Have strong understanding of equity-based compensation and associated cyclical processes (e.g. mass grant and vesting).

  • Be knowledgeable about regulatory requirements related to executive compensation and have familiarity with executive compensation benchmarking.

Skills

  • Have a history of successfully leading projects and driving innovation in compensation practices.

  • Be proficient in utilizing Workday (Advance Compensation) and compensation management software (e.g. MarketPay, Pay Factors, Comp Analyst) and able to interpret complex data.

  • Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and ethical conduct in handling sensitive information.

  • Demonstrate adaptability in solving compensation issues using established methodologies.

  • Be skilled in fostering productive relationships with business partners and external providers.

Experience

  • Have significant involvement in the delivery of year end cyclical process

  • Have a good understanding of Executive Compensation matters in an SEC governed entity, including some prior involvement in regulatory reporting (i.e. Proxy statement, Form 4 filings), and Board level reporting.
