General Job Description: The Tool Crib Manager is responsible for successfully managing all tool crib inventory levels and its supporting staff to ensure fulfillment of all tool and hardware requests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Effectively manage workload of assigned reports.
  • Exhibit responsible inventory management of tools, equipment, hardware, and consumables, only ordering restock as needed to meet business needs.
  • Ensures the proper use and implementation of internal processes for all tool crib functions and related business units.
  • Partner with ACCO Purchasing to ensure the use of one of the primary vendors and confirm their preferred status when ordering tools and hardware, use the second primary vendor to fill any back orders.
  • Support shipping/receiving as needed to help store and ship equipment to various sites
  • Coordinate with local construction operations departments for combine deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Maintains a well-organized tool crib by labeling stock shelves with minimum and maximum "just-in time" inventory quantities.
  • Ensure all tools are stored in their proper locations and laydown areas for bigger tools, (ladders, lifts, carts, etc.) are available, clear, and clean always.
  • Proactively notifies impacted personnel when there are back orders issues.
  • Utilizes manufacturer programs to benefit ACCO on tool repair and warranty replacements.
  • Communicate manufacturer by back specials and other deals to Purchasing and the Logistics Manager for vetting
  • Responsible for ensuring all Safety and in-house cleaning protocols are followed and up to date; the area should be tidy and clear of all debris and tripping hazards. Items should also be relatively easy to find in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management


Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Strong background in managing inventory, shipping and receiving, warehouse processes and the concept of integrated supply, cost savings and supply chain management is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in basic tool repair
  • Familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Familiar with Google Suite (Gmail, drive, calendar)
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to have an open line of communication with employees throughout the organization, demonstrate good communication skills, including phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to give clear understandable direction to others
  • Ability to work at a hectic pace and remain professional and courteous

  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Ability to adjust focus.

Hours:

This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.
