SUMMARY: Operates or assists in the operation of vacuum furnaces which includes furnace set-up, loading molds, carrying metal charges and removing ceramic shell material from castings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Position requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one year manufacturing experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures. Ability to communicate production information both in writing and verbally. Ability to complete required production reports and SPC charts. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several airfoil casting variables in standardized situations. OTHER QUALIFICATION: Regular attendance and the ability to work weekday and weekend overtime.
