Hardware Technician - Temporary

Dexian has two immediate opportunities available for Hardware Technicians who will be responsible for removing older equipment from racks and cleaning / organizing storage closets in the client's Data Center.

The Hardware Technician shall be responsible for:

• Unboxing and racking new networking equipment.
• Removing and sanitizing older networking equipment from racks.
• Moving equipment to/from storage area as needed.
• Cleaning, organizing, and labeling storage areas and equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Intermediate knowledge of enterprise level PC's and various network and data center equipment.
• Basic understanding and ability to provide hardware support (i.e. swapping hard drive, fan, motherboard).
• Basic understanding of inventory management, shipping and receiving, asset management. Includes: warehouse processes for shipping/receiving packages, asset tags, unboxing, return merchandise authorization (RMA) tracking.
• Working knowledge of app/database ticketing systems. Knowledge with ServiceNow, a plus
• Position may require dexterity and ability to sit, stand, walk extended distances. Will require mobility in lifting and moving computer equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance and heavier equipment with assistance.

This position requires an active Department of Defense security clearance at the SECRET level upon hire or
ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
U.S. citizens ONLY are eligible for a security clearance and this position.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma.

LOCATION and DURATION:

• This is a full-time (temporary) onsite position at a facility in El Segundo, CA anticipated to start 5 May 2025 and end no earlier than 25 July 2025.

COMPENSATION:

• Dexian reasonably expects to offer $21.80 - $25.65/hour for this position based on skills and experience. Benefits include generous time off, health, vision and dental insurance, matching 401k, etc.

• Submit/Pass a 10-year background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints.
• Valid driver's license/Real-ID with clean driver's history.
• Self-starter with extremely strong work ethic. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy required.
• Demonstrated problem solving and people skills.
• Ability to research, resolve and complete tasks within pre-determined deadlines and schedules.
• Ability to process work quickly and accurately - dealing with interruptions, changing timelines and priorities on a regular basis.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate details in a professional manner.
• Must embrace technology to promote efficient operations.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word programs.
