Position Purpose:



This position is responsible for analysis and special project work related to compensation and retention. The incumbent will assist in the administration of all compensation programs and systems, and work to maintain our current compensation structure to ensure that Renown Health continues to recruit competitively.



Nature and Scope:



The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a constant watch on the external marketplace to assess our position in the areas of compensation by participating in compensation surveys. This position is challenged with maintaining market competitive compensation practices ensuring our recruitment and retention objectives are achieved. This position is responsible for providing guidance on compensation administration, which includes pay for performance, competitive wage adjustments, compensation offers at hire, and maintaining position and compensation structure in the Human Resources Information System.

Must be able to coordinate, implement and interpret compensation guidelines, processes and practices in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with over 7,000 employees.

Must be able to communicate complex concepts, findings and analyses to internal customers in a useful and understandable format.

This position is responsible for assessing internal and external equity, identifying trends and formulating action plans to maintain integrity of the compensation structure through benchmarking and other standard compensation practices. Manipulation of highly detailed and confidential statistical information in an automated manner is required.

This position will monitor and address problems arising from day-to-day compensation activities in the effort to improve efficiency and processes. Day-to-day activities include job evaluation and analysis, job description review, group salary adjustments, merit processing, pay for performance and compensation metrics.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred



Education:



Must have college-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Requires a bachelor's degree in business or closely related field. Proven experience may be substituted in place of a degree.



Experience:



Minimum two years' experience in Human Resources, Finance or position working with detailed information analysis required. Must be intermediate to expert in Microsoft Excel.



License(s):



None.



Certification(s):



Preference will be given to applicants who have achieved the designation of Certified Compensation P and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). SPHR preferred.



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have excellent computer skills.
