Inventory management senior specialist manages inventory levels and monitors replenishment, and stocking levels and ensures, optimum ordering levels of materials maintained as inventory. The specialist creates and maintains databases, reports, inventory-related performance scorecards, and ad hoc analysis as required. The specialist assesses expired and slow-moving/obsolete inventory, recommends optimal movements, and works with business units to disposition and maintain appropriate financial reserves.
What we're looking for
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field (Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, etc.
- Experience - 2-3 Years' experience in inventory planning and control with exposure to inventory management, cost accounting or managerial accounting, etc.
- ERP experience (SAP preferred).
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) Must be able to read and write legibly; can draft and respond professionally to emails.
- Attentive, excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to address inventory discrepancies or issues proactively.
- Ability to monitor stock levels and maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
How you will thrive and create an impact
- Overseeing the cycle count program for finished goods, raw materials, packaging, and production
- Completing quarterly cycle counts on field tank inventory and annual physical inventory process.
- Reconciling the production material consumption process
- Conducting inventory planning and forecasting
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies
- Using SAP software to track inventory data
- Performing quality checks to identify damaged items
- Managing inventory storage and organization
- Manage materials review board (MRB) process for compliance.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators, in support of plant metrics, to measure the effectiveness of inventory management operations.
- Ensure sufficient reserves for inventory write offs, excess & obsolete and at-risk materials.
- Direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures related to inventory management (i.e., SOX compliance, Annual CPI cycle.)
- Develops all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments. Completes and issues all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Create detailed reporting metrics for monthly MOR for Site Directors / SVP.
- Participate in site regulatory audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
