Production Materials Planner (Electronics Manufacturer)

FlexStaff is seeking a seasoned Production Material Planner, to work for one of our clients, an electronics manufacturer, located in Melville, NY.

This is a permanent, full-time job. 9/80 schedule.

In this role you will be responsible for tracking products through the manufacturing cycle, scheduling and coordinating materials between departments.

The ideal candidate would have a bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years' experience, OR lesser degree with 8-10 years' experience. Experience with electronic parts and assemblies, mechanical parts, printed circuit boards (PCB's), and RF subassemblies in a manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across departments, communicating with various managers and supervisors to resolve material issues.
  • Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) and associated drawings.
  • Release production kits with the necessary travelers, operation sheets, and documentation.
  • Track program status and schedules and report them to Senior Management.
  • Conduct complex transactions in the MRP system and compile MRP-generated reports and Excel spreadsheets detailing Work In Process (WIP) status, including material locations, shortages, open sales orders, delivery dates, and Can-Build status.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and planning teams to expedite processes and eliminate material shortages while meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Oversee the processing of internal Manufacturing Orders (MOs).
  • Handle Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Process Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs).
