Roskam Foods is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media/Internal Communications Intern to help grow and engage our online community and inform and inspire our workforce. This role provides hands-on experience in content creation, social media strategy, and brand storytelling. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, digital marketing, and creating compelling content that drives engagement with key internal and external audiences. Assist in managing and creating content for Roskam Foods' social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), with a focus on employee engagement. Develop and schedule engaging social media posts posts showcasing employee spotlights, milestone celebrations, culture events, and behind-the-scenes moments that align with Roskam Foods' brand voice and values. Collaborate with internal teams to capture and share authentic employee stories that reflect our company culture. Support the planning and promotion of employee engagement initiatives, such as company events, volunteer activities, and recognition programs. Monitor and moderate social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with followers. Track social media analytics and generate reports on engagement, reach, and audience growth. Assist in crafting internal communications and digital content to foster a connected and informed workforce. Assist in researching trends, hashtags, and competitor activities to improve content strategy and engagement. Capture behind-the-scenes moments at company events, production facilities, and employee spotlights.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends. Experience with content creation tools such as Sprout Social, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut (preferred but not required). Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Creative mindset with a passion for the food industry, branding, and digital engagement.
