The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a production machine/ oven line, ensuring it works accordingly and maintains correct efficiency calculations. Directs production technicians on their duties along the production line.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Document Downtime per shift and report to Production Lead.

• Check product uniformity and reject clustered or discolored items.

• Record color hourly.

• Record moisture every 15 minutes from Extruder.

• Attach batch sheet number to tote bins.

• Cover all full bins.

• Record vitamin flow rate hourly.

• Ensure metal detector functionality.

• Weigh and record pounds per minute after oven, four times per shift.

• Prepare quality control samples from every fourth bin.

• Maintain a clean work area.

• Clean vitamin nozzles twice per shift.

• Clean oven, mixer machine, and vibrating conveyors before ending shift.

• Report parameter issues to Production Lead or Shift Manager.

• Ensure WIP labels are accurate.

• Log and report discarded products/materials.

• Keep production line area clean, stocked, and ready for next shift.

• Rotate crew for lunch breaks; Shift Lead assists.

• Manage product changeovers and keep schedule on target.

• Train Technicians on job tasks and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of machine operating experience (preferably in the food industry).

• A can do/will do attitude.

• Dependability

• Ability to work within a team.
