Corewell Health

Apr 19, 2025

Corewell Health is building a new hospitalist team at Beaumont Grosse Pointe to provide comprehensive high-quality inpatient care for adult patients. We are seeking compassionate, collaborative, and committed physicians to help shape and grow this new program.

Hospitalists will also provide in-house backup support to the critical care advanced practice providers when the intensivist is not on site; the intensivist will remain available by phone 24/7 for consultation and support. The hospitalist will also provide consultative support to other departments and occasionally care for adolescent or pediatric patients (those admitted by Family Medicine or Med-Peds physicians), depending on patient needs and team structure.

Our group will be actively engaged in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocol development, and professional education.

We anticipate a staffing model of five physicians during the day and one overnight, supported by two advanced practice providers on each shift. As we build a team of approximately twelve physicians, night shifts will be equitably distributed, averaging approximately 3-4 nights per month or 4 weeks per year per physician.
