THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Senior Operations Director, the Project Engineering Manager will:
- Develop and implement short- and long-range corporate capital spending programs. Provide overall capital project oversight to ensure individual project accountability to spending and timing commitments. Manage overall capital program to maintain focus and achievement of approved budgets.
- Develop and maintain an atmosphere that encourages creativity and motivates direct reports to assume greater responsibility and accountability.
- Provide guidance and technical support cross-functionally in the audit and review of current plant manufacturing equipment, processes, and operating procedures.
- Work in tandem with others to oversee the operation of process flow systems to meet production, quality, and inventory standards, and ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible plant operation.
- Ensure company landfill is developed and managed efficiently to remain in compliance with all application laws and regulations.
- Assist with project development, providing technical support and assisting with equipment start-up and troubleshooting.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate will be a well-organized multitasker with immaculate attention to detail. Your credentials ideally include:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 7-10 years of chemical industry experience.
- Proven ability to develop, mentor and lead a group of direct reports.
- Strong ability to communicate at all levels of an organization, from bargaining unit to company leadership, as well as to external groups such as regulatory agencies.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
