Classification: Exempt / Non-Bargaining

Consolidated Communications is looking for an Enterprise Sales Engineer to join our dynamic Sales Engineering team. In this role, you will be the primary technical contact for our customers, crafting compelling business cases to win by leveraging technology to overcome their business challenges.

Collaborating closely with Enterprise Account Executives, you will conduct product demonstrations and clearly articulate the technical value of Consolidated Communications solutions.

The ideal candidate will be based in Manchester, NH and possess the following skills:

  • Discovery Skills: Expertise in uncovering customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to influence audiences in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong ability to translate customer requirements into actionable solutions, aligning technology with business outcomes to drive value.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical sales process and drive the technical conversation and meeting sales objectives.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for assigned Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales objectives and account-based penetration strategies.
  • Conduct research on technical and competitive landscapes to effectively address customer inquiries.
  • Act as a technical resource for clients and the broader sales team, providing expertise and support throughout the sales process.
  • Develop solution designs and costing budgets for business case review.
  • Educate sales executives and partners on our products and solutions.
  • Strong focus on driving customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales engineering.
  • Technical background in network design and VOIP technologies
  • Strong knowledge of networking topology, TCP/IP protocol, and network components (firewalls, routers, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise clients.
  • Excellent technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand the "Big Picture," uncover business challenges, and architect solutions to address customer issues.
  • Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, customer-focused approach, and strong sense of ownership over customer results.
  • BSCS/BSEE or equivalent work experience.
  • License required: Valid State Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
