Title: Grants Accountant Assistant Location: Charlottesville VA 22903 Pay Rate: $22.00/Hour on W2 without benefits Duration: 5+ months Job Description: Handle financial aspects and assume grant accountant duties. Provide contract labor to assist with accounting functions, grant submissions, reporting, compliance, mapping, and other administrative functions that support the Office of Financial Services and management of grants. Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations related to grants. Experience using spreadsheets to analyze grant expenditures and to monitor and report on the same. Have a working understanding of federal grants, contracts, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills in Windows and network environments with specialized software, Word, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and Excel with an emphasis on the ability to perform data collection and graphing. Detail-oriented person, with the ability to multi-task. Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s): Computer, printer, scanner. Computer software to be used: Microsoft Office, grant application systems.
