This is a hybrid position and will be a mix of in office, 3x per week in NORWALK, CT and remote, in accordance with company policy.
Above all, this person will be an incredibly creative problem solver responsible for all aspects of a project from aligning on strategy, initial brainstorming and conceptualizing new ideas. The work will require the CD to oversee multiple large-scale projects, inspire and guide the team, and be firmly committed to always upholding the highest creative standards. Must collaborate with account and strategy leads to identify long-term opportunities to help deepen organic growth within our current client base as well as spending up to 50% of their time supporting the New Biz team in winning new clients.
Day-to-day, the Senior Creative Director must lead with the ability to maximize the talents of the team and collaborate with the support of freelancers when needed. We want you to have the vision to push boundaries and think big picture yet be detailed enough to refine ideas into razor sharp creative platforms with best in class execution. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with all teams (account, strategy, production, new biz) to develop strategically sound, highly creative and executable concepts
- Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and consumer mindsets
- Source, lead and collaborate with freelancers as needed
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the digital and social landscape
- Expected to lead and present creative with compelling, narrative-driven presentations
- Collaborate with senior account leads to identify opportunities that deepen organic growth within and new business opportunities
- Attend and share learnings from industry trade events and seminars to inspire and keep the agency thinking innovatively
- Demonstrate strong collaborative skills and respect for all team members and clients
- Stay culturally relevant with trends
- Excellent leadership, teaching, mentoring and communication skills
- A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
- Proven ability to lead and strengthen client relationships
- Ability and willingness to travel for shoots, client meetings, continued education, etc.
- Manage administrative tasks with attention to meeting agency compliance guidelines and standards
Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of relevant agency experience
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, graphic design, art, marketing or a related field
- Established portfolio that displays strong conceptual ability and smart, innovative work
- Excellent leadership, teaching, mentoring and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of creatives/direct reports
- A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
- Proven success at building trust with clients and maintaining those relationships
- Strongcreative vision with an understanding of how it relates to business objectives

The base compensation range for this job classification is between $165,000.00-$210,000.00 annually. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related skills and qualifications, length of service, brand program, and geographic location.
