As a Summer Intern in Chemistry R&D of Life Science Group, you will synthesize, purify and characterize various intermediates in new product development. You will also contribute to method development and optimization. You will learn to work hands-on on multiple analytical instruments, and work on process optimization. You will learn to acquire, sort and analyze data by statistical tools.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Apply your technical skills and knowledge of wet-lab chemistry to deliver high quality key materials to support product development.
  • Facilitate project team's technical decisions by assisting in data acquisition and statistical analysis.
  • Help develop protocols for key intermediate characterization.
  • Design and run experiments, analyze data, interpret results. Use statistic tool to analyze data and validate results.
  • Comfortable with analytical instrumentation- operate and maintain instruments such as fluorimeter, HPLC, DLS, UV-vis etc. to collect data and perform systematic studies.

  • Education: Current sophomore/junior enrolled in BA/BS in Chemistry or related major. 3.0 minimum GPA.
  • Must have wet-lab/ synthesis or research experience (academic or otherwise)
  • Completed courses in organic chemistry, general chemistry, upper level classes in analytical chemistry and biochemistry; material science is a plus.
  • Knowledge in organic chemistry/ synthesis, biochemistry.
  • Some hands-on experience in analytical instrumentation.
  • Good communication skills and record keeping habit.

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
