Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical entry-level Financial Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team by analyzing financial and industry data, conducting research, and contributing to the development of financial models and forecasts. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the leaders who execute our corporate growth strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong foundation in finance to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

    Work collaboratively with the team to conduct financial analyses using various methods, such as trend analysis, ratio analysis, and variance analysis, to assess the company's financial performance and identify key trends
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future performance, evaluate potential investments, and support strategic planning initiatives
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partners
  • Gather and analyze financial and market data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • With guidance, prepare financial reports and presentations, clearly communicating financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support the finance team by conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to support strategic decision-making
  • Research various aspects of the satellite communications market as well as the broader space economy
  • Perform other ad-hoc financial and market analysis tasks as assigned


Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation skills (strong Excel skills required)
  • Strong research and data analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate key messages and ideas clearly and effectively
  • Can cultivate meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team, while being open and responsive to constructive feedback as they guide and mentor you
  • The ability to think outside the box to help solve problems, with the humility to ask for help when needed
  • Adaptability to a dynamic environment and the readiness to take on any new tasks that are handed to you
  • A motivation to achieve outcomes and results
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks at once and completing them on time with mostly no errors
  • An eagerness to develop professionally, continuously learn, and share knowledge with others

Work environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
