Position Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create, manage, and optimize documentation for our regulated casino gaming products, technical and compliance processes. You will collaborate with engineers, compliance specialists, and product teams to produce clear, precise, and regulatory-compliant technical materials, including software documentation, user manuals, and regulatory submissions.

Role will be hybrid, based in Raleigh, NC.

Essential Job Functions:

* Develop and maintain technical documentation for gaming software, hardware, compliance reports, and user guides.

* Ensure documentation aligns with gaming regulations from jurisdictions such as the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), and others.

* Work closely with developers, compliance teams, and product managers to translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear documentation.

* Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), API documentation, release notes, and internal knowledge bases.

* Edit and proofread technical content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

* Stay updated on gaming compliance changes and implement necessary documentation updates.

* Manage version control for documentation and collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

* Utilize content management systems (CMS), documentation tools (MadCap Flare, Confluence, etc.), and version control systems (Git, Github, Bitbucket, etc.).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Training and/or Experience

* 1-3 years of technical writing experience; preferably in casino gaming, fintech, or other regulated industries.

* Experience writing technical documentation for technology products preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* 3-5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in casino gaming, fintech, or other regulated industries.

* Strong understanding of gaming software, hardware, and regulatory requirements.

* Proficiency in writing API documentation and working with developers on technical content.

* Experience with documentation tools like MadCap Flare, Confluence, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar.

* Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory submission processes.

* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

Preferred Experience:

* Experience using and maintaining the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

* Experience in fintech, Casino gaming or other regulated industries with compliance standards and regulatory submission processes.

* Knowledge of ISO, PCI DSS, GLI standards, and other compliance frameworks.

* Certification in technical writing (STC, CPTC, etc.) is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
