DCCA is the prime contractor for this Government program that delivers important technical solutions and products using emerging technologies for high-speed SIGINT processing systems. The program is tactically important to the National Security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results. We are searching for an energetic and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. Required Years Experience/Education Fourteen (14) years' experience as a systems engineer is required for this position, and applicants should have a bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. An additional five (5) years of systems engineering experience on similar projects or programs will be accepted in lieu of an acceptable bachelor's degree. Similar projects or programs would be those with a team of software and systems engineers working with customers to define, document, and implement requirements for the solution, testing, deploying and maintaining that solution. Required Skills and Experience * Experience as a hands-on Systems Engineer * Experience supporting test of developed solutions, pre- and post-deployment, or test to troubleshoot and recreate issues identified in the field * Experience working with end-users, to answer questions, support troubleshooting of issues, or train them in the use of the system * Experience in data analysis to evaluate performance, identify issues, or support solution recommendations * Experience developing and managing requirements * Strong interpersonal, communications and writing skills. * Basic Linux skills. * Working knowledge of modern communications networks. Desired Skills and Certifications: * Working knowledge of wireless communications networks. * Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzer. * Working knowledge of optical networks, along with SONET/SDH/OTN, ETHERNET, OSI Model and Computer to Computer (C2C) structure, and/or technologies/protocols such as: MPLS, VLAN, Pseudowire, TDMoIP, IP, TCP, UDP, VCAT, VOIP, and Video protocols. * Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages to automate installations, analysis, testing and or system monitoring efforts Working knowledge of CAFES' (Y142) mission applications and discovery tools and how they support critical missions. * Experience with R Group's VISTA applications and use cases. Work Environment: The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $200,000 - $285,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors.
