Job Summary
Responsible for the recruitment of the most senior-level and difficult to fill positions -delivering strong slates of qualified, diverse candidates. Builds strong business relationships with hiring managers, networks to proactively source qualified, diverse applicants, and assesses talent to deliver the strongest candidate slates. Provides subject matter expertise in all areas of recruiting and ensures exceptional experiences for all Corewell Health applicants. Demonstrates excellent decision-making abilities coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Sourcing candidates for high-level positions and satisfying clients' executive hiring needs. Involves managing a client's current job openings and future needs, vetting, and selecting well-suited candidates. Also monitoring the marketplace for exciting new talent.
Essential Functions
  • Provides direction, coaching, mentoring and leadership to Executive Recruitment Coordinators. Assisting others with sourcing strategies, building relationships and general problem solving.
  • Consults with executive leaders to understand position specific requirements. Ensures timely and accurate posting of positions, applicant review, and submission of applicants for hiring manager consideration, within the Applicant Tracking System. Assesses candidates and screens to ensure qualifications and availability, in accordance with Affirmative Action requirements before making recommendations. Presents a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring leaders and provides their profile summaries in detail.
  • Coordinates interviews schedules, travel arrangements and facilitates/attends on-site interviews across Corewell Health locations.
  • Interviews applicants to assess qualifications, behavioral competence, and availability, in accordance with Affirmative Action and other compliance requirements. Uses objective metrics to measure individual and team performance, to drive high quality hiring results. Facilitates offers of employment and initiates onboarding process. Assures that all information is processed accurately and timely, and in compliance with all requirements/regulations.
  • Develops recruiting strategy for senior-level executives. Builds strong networks to proactively discover and identify top external talent. Builds knowledge base of competitive organizations to quickly identify potential candidates for posted positions. Uses innovative and new techniques and technology. Works with Executive Recruitment Talent Scouts as needed to increase applicant pools. Utilizes a multi-pronged approach to identify the right talent. Develops candidates generation strategies. Expands and nourishes network of professionals. Reviews hiring and succession plans and compensation packages. Develops structured, purposeful marketing and sourcing campaigns.
  • Offers guidance and facilitates negotiation throughout the recruiting process. Provides counsel and advice to hiring leaders regarding job market conditions, competitive challenges, interviewing skills, best practice processes, etc. This includes but is not limited to competitive organizational design, market compensation changes, and Corewell Health brand perception. Identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels. Networking and building long-term client relationships. Tracking and identifying prospective candidates through various channels.
  • Develops a thorough knowledge of assigned business areas: strategic business goals, department culture, needs and expectations. Partners with the broader Talent Attraction organization to stay abreast of the changes in business strategy. Consults and partners with hiring managers to understand position specific requirements. Conducts in-depth intake sessions to assure expectations are clearly aligned and create a successful multi-pronged sourcing strategy. Contribute to strong pipeline development.
  • Provides compensation recommendations to hiring leaders based on salary guidelines, internal equity, and candidate requirements. Work with Compensation and Benefits on offer language. Negotiate employment terms, finalize employment offers, and initiate the onboarding process. Ensures that all information is processed accurately and timely, and in compliance with all requirements/regulations.

Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent human resources, business, or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience in recruiting, staffing, broad range of positions, innovative sourcing techniques of passive candidates, supervisory, lead recruiter, recruiting physicians, non-physician providers, health care executives, project management, onboarding process, agency, or similarly difficult-to-recruit positions into a complex organization. Required
  • Background in corporate and/or agency recruiting. Experience leading recruiting for leadership positions at the director and above level, to include interviewing, networking, and qualifying talent or other human resources experience. Strong sourcing experience. Preferred
