Ellwood Crankshaft Group is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines, mechanical shears, rock crushers, homogenizers and other miscellaneous applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.

Today, ECG has four facilities throughout PA. We are currently seeking a full-time Utility Maintenance Technician for our facility in Sharon, PA and will assist all locations as needed. This non-exempt position may require overtime, weekends and rotating shifts as needed and may also require on-call responsibilities as dictated by business needs.

This position's primary responsibilities will include completing CNC and manual equipment preventative maintenance schedules by completing fluid, filter and media refreshments. Additionally, the role will be responsible for leading in the operation and set-up of the full-throw fatigue tester at Ellwood Crankshaft and Machine, including, but not limited to, setups and computer interfacing. Full training will be provided for all encompassing areas of the job; however, proven knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is required by the successful candidate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Intermediate knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Mechanical/Analytical skills demonstrated via an examination
  • Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools
  • Strong computer skills
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment
  • Machine tool experience or manufacturing equipment working knowledge
  • Must have a standard mechanics set of tools, including wrenches, sockets and screwdrivers.
  • One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently and be very self-motivated
  • Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license


RESPONSIBLITIES WILL INCLUDE:



  • Preventative maintenance on machine tools for Hydraulics and Pneumatics systems.
  • Performing oil, filter and line changes
  • Monitoring machine coolant condition and providing correction as needed
  • Ensuring machine preventative maintenance schedules are performed on a regular basis
  • Providing preventative maintenance to mobile equipment and vehicles
  • Assisting with other duties, assignments, and projects as required
  • Operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment
  • Assisting Maintenance Dept personnel with machine repairs and scheduled PM activity
  • Supporting production personnel and provide periodic training for daily preventive maintenance activity


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position will require occasional material handling up to 100 pounds which could include floor lifts, shoulder lifts, overhead lifts, etc. The position will require occasional pushing and pulling material handling up to 50 pounds. The position will require frequent bending, climbing, kneeling and squatting and constant walking, bending and reaching. The physical demand category of this position is heavy.
