Business Line Technology Manager, Metals

In this position, you will be responsible for active product management, maintaining close collaboration with sales and engineering teams to ensure continuous improvement of our product and solution portfolio. By gathering and incorporating feedback from sales, engineering, and commissioning, you will drive portfolio enhancements and function extensions. You will take full ownership of the hot strip mill product and solution portfolio, ensuring its continuous development, alignment with market needs, and integration of innovative advancements.
You will take ownership of the R&D roadmap, aligning development initiatives with market and customer demands. Managing and maintaining software libraries will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with overseeing the annual release cycle. Keeping marketing and sales materials up to date, including materials from key projects, will also be essential. Additionally, you will ensure that solution training materials remain relevant and comprehensive.
Analyzing the performance of key executed projects, you will identify potential areas for improvement and translate those insights into actionable strategies. Creating success stories from these projects will help showcase our achievements and drive further engagement. Intellectual property management and supporting marketing activities for the Business Line Metals will also be part of your role.
Furthermore, you will engage in technology scouting, identifying promising startups, technological partners, and potential customer collaborations. Your involvement in industry events will help strengthen our position in the market and drive innovation within our solutions.

• To be successful in this role, you bring fundamental experience with hot strip mills, particularly in commissioning, engineering, and R&D automation. A strong technical background is essential, with an M.Sc. or M.Eng. in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Additionally, a deep understanding of technology controls associated with hot rolling mills is required. Fluency in English is mandatory, as this role involves collaboration with international teams, customers, and partners.
