*Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote* *Location: Plano, TX* *Job Description: * We are seeking a skilled Container Platform Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. This role requires previous SRE experience supporting a containers platform, specifically with OpenShift and Kubernetes. Experience with AKS and EKS is a plus. Candidates must have a strong infrastructure background, coming from a systems admin or true cloud infrastructure engineer role, rather than just a DevOps background. The ideal candidate will have true engineering experience, capable of reducing the total amount of tickets through proactive engineering solutions. Automation experience with Python and Terraform is also required. *Top Skills:* * Previous SRE experience supporting a containers platform with OpenShift & Kubernetes (must-haves), AKS & EKS (nice to haves). * True infrastructure experience from a systems admin or cloud infrastructure engineer background, not just DevOps. * True engineering experience, capable of reducing the total amount of tickets through proactive solutions. * Automation experience with Python and Terraform. *Key Responsibilities:* * Support and ensure the reliability of the Container Platform on-prem and external clouds (Azure, AWS, Google). * Monitor and troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and security issues within the Container platform (OpenShift), Rancher (RKE), and Azure (AKS) environments. * Perform deep dives into systemic and latent reliability issues, manage incidents, and resolve problems. * Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. * Conduct blameless root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement fixes. * Provide application onboarding and troubleshooting support throughout the lifecycle of applications on the container platform. * Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation, reduce toil, and enhance operational excellence. * Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure visibility and implement appropriate controls and remediation of vulnerabilities. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $73.68 - $73.68/hr.
