Accepts and processes incoming equipment deliveries into the central stockroom. Responsibilities include unpacking and verifying delivered items, tracking and maintaining existing inventories and transporting equipment items to and from other locations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes equipment deliveries into the stockroom, including inspection andrecording of delivered items.
  • Organizes and stores received items in appropriate areas while tracking the location of the items.
  • Updates database records and asset tracking system for items being received.
  • Maintains accurate records of current inventory and tracking of items entering and leaving stock inventory.
  • Prepares equipment items for disposal and accurately track serial numbered assets with a high attention to detail.
  • Delivers and picks up equipment to and from other hospital locations including packing and unpacking of items.
  • Communicates with vendors and recipients regarding deliveries.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

  • Associate's degree in a health care, business, or technical field.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

  • Three years of experience in receiving and shipping department and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Access.
  • Experience and knowledge of equipment handling procedures for large scale medical devices and IT equipment.
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy.

Preferred:

  • Two years of experience with ServiceNow with an emphasis on asset management functionality.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and data quality management.
  • Experience with vendor relationship management and vendor communication.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives with Lean practices and tools.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

Work is considered medium level. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment. Ability to move wheeled equipment up to 250 pounds. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction.
