Payroll Coordinator (Entry Level)

General Summary: Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all team members regarding payroll queries. Responds to the payroll ticketing system, ensuring team members tickets are responded to within the appropriate time-frames, ensuring accuracy of information with the goal of helping the team members become self-sufficient with problem solving their payroll questions. Assists with other aspects of payroll processing, as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Respond to a high volume of requests, questions, escalations via ticketing system (ServiceNow)
  • Provide a high level of customer service to Team Members by answering questions and/or escalating concerns to the payroll Manager.
  • Assist team with preparing and processing Bi-weekly payroll.
  • Work cross-functionally with Benefits, HRIS, and Field and Corporate HR Teams to ensure a seamless process.
  • Accurately keys payroll-related data necessary to process and meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Process new hires enrollment/termination & all other payroll changes in timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning payroll.
  • Maintains personnel and payroll records, attendance & PTO balances.
  • Prepare off-cycle checks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.


Other Duties:



  • Assist payroll manager with special projects.
  • Respond to requests for employment verification.

  • The ability to multi task in a fast paced deadline oriented environment
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate detailed and sensitive information effectively with all levels in the organization
