Job Description
Supervises and coordinates Clean Core staff and operations within the operating room. Ensures department cleanliness, equipment and inventory maintenance, and effective transport of patients, materials, and related items. Job Responsibility
- Promotes Perioperative department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
- Leads the activities of assigned Perioperative team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
- Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
- Prioritizes, schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational service; analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes.
- Ensures order and cleanliness in respective clean and outer cores.
- Oversees operating room set up, breakdown and turnover between cases; organizes effective transport of patients, equipment, supplies, specimens and related items.
- Collaborates with clinical, technical and service staff to ensure efficient operating room operations; addresses and resolves issues, as needed.
- Ensures Clean Core activities are in compliance with department, hospital and regulatory standards and regulations.
- Participates in developing and delivering training related to operations.
- Participates in evaluating and implementing Quality Control/Performance Improvement related practices.
- Maintains related conventional and computer-aided records and information.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
