Ingram Content Group(ICG) is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Data Insights, tojoin our team inLaVergne, TN(Greater Nashville area). This person leads the strategy for Ingram Insights, focusing on growing Ingram's data collection and building new revenue streams for proprietary insights from data. In this role, you'll identify areas for data acquisition, lead new product development, and help build new business models to serve not just the book industry but other relevant industries, including travel, hospitality, and entertainment. This position is hybrid and requires a minimum of 4 days at our corporate offices. Want to help build new ways to deliver content insights to the world? The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or directly related year for year experience
- 7+ years of experience managing and developing enterprise reporting, including market research, within the content industry (books, media, audio, podcasting, etc)
- 3+ years of experience designing or building customer solutions, including but not limited to consulting or product development
- 3+ years of management experience
We have a preference for:
- Knowledge of enterprise reporting for books
- Awareness and interest in what influences sales and demand, such as cultural and political events, marketing campaigns, social media, etc
- Ability to collaborate in the strategic planning process
- Ability to manage a P&L
- Ability to manage and motivate a sales and product team
- Ability to develop a sales forecast based on performance and pipeline
- Demonstrable sales focus and customer centric approach
- Ability to apply sales forecasting
- Ability to negotiate terms
- Ability to evaluate client accounts for profit potential
- Ability to recognize obstacles and challenges, determine cause, and takes appropriate action to resolve
The Senior Manager, Data Insights key responsibilities are:
- Develops and owns the Ingram Insights Forecast, P&L, and Sales and Product expense budget.
- Plans and executes business development strategies and initiatives that maximize revenue, margin, and commercial opportunities for the company.
- Develop current and new products, incorporating customer feedback and responding to market forces to propel ICG to lead the book industry in insights while also establishing a market position and growth beyond books.
- Manages and mentors the Insights team to maintain and grow the business and deliver excellent service to IDS customers.
- Identifies potential new markets that promote long-term growth and proposes deals in response to business opportunities.
- Analyzes trends in customer feedback and collects information on changing customer needs to design new and enhanced services and products. Provides regular analytics and reporting to Digital Services team, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Represents Ingram Content Group at industry events and trade shows, and other relevant non-industry events.
Hiring Salary Range:$108,000k-$138,000k.This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
