PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Senior Paint & Coatings Inspector at Worley, you will play a vital role in delivering projects that meet the highest quality and safety standards. Through rigorous inspection, compliance assurance, and collaborative problem-solving, this position contributes to Worley's global mission of delivering sustainable change. This role directly supports operational reliability and environmental accountability by ensuring that all coatings and paint applications meet or exceed industry specifications, codes, and project-specific requirements.

Position with last 1-2 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits of paint and coatings applications to ensure full compliance with established industry codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to uphold measurement accuracy and operational reliability during all phases of inspection.
  • Accurately document inspection findings, maintain comprehensive records, and communicate results clearly to relevant stakeholders to support quality assurance reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, address, and resolve quality issues, reinforcing a proactive culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Participate in maintaining safe, clean, and organized work environments by following site-specific housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Support Worley's broader sustainability objectives by ensuring high-quality, long-lasting protective coatings that contribute to asset longevity and environmental stewardship.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET



  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in industrial construction or maintenance, ideally within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, with an understanding of complex project environments.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of surface preparation, paint and coating systems, and inspection techniques. Experience applying quality standards and codes relevant to protective coatings in industrial settings.
  • Certification: Possess a valid NACE Coating Inspector Certification (NACE Level II or higher), with appropriate written and/or performance verification credentials.
  • Analytical Precision: Demonstrated attention to detail, with the ability to identify non-conformities and assess compliance through methodical inspections.
  • Physical Capability: Willing and able to perform physical tasks in varied industrial settings, including climbing, bending, and extended periods of standing.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing clear and concise feedback to resolve issues constructively.
