Your Role With Us:As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Infusion Center at Salem Health, your role would involve providing essential patient care by adhering to established policies and procedures. You would accurately perform clinical skills and only those duties for which you've demonstrated competency. Your responsibilities include observing and reporting any changes in a patient's condition, such as abnormal vital signs, changes in behavior, or concerns regarding skin integrity. You would offer personalized care based on each patient's age and specific needs, ensuring a friendly and non-judgmental approach while encouraging patient autonomy and self-care. Additionally, you'd ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control practices, utilizing proper lifting techniques, and maintaining a clutter-free environment. Documentation is key in your role, where you'd concisely input pertinent information into the medical records system and assist in resource management by flexing your work schedule and completing other duties like stocking supplies and running errands. As a team player, you'd float to other units as needed, assist in orienting new staff, and complete any other assigned tasks, including scheduling patient appointments or assisting with training in compliance with Oregon State Board regulations.
