Position Title: Material Handler

Wage: $19.00/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday

Client Candidate is seeking an energetic Shipping Clerk to keep our warehouse operations running smoothly! You'll prepare shipping documents, manage inventory, operate forklifts, and help ensure products move accurately and efficiently.

Material Handler Responsibilities:

- Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices

- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting or recordkeeping purposes

- Keep records of shipping documents and purchase orders

- Operate UPS and FedEx shipping software

- Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data or keeping other records concerning shipments

- Review documents such as Packing Slips, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and Certificates of Conformance (COCs)

- Prepare orders for shipping using inventory management system

- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load trucks and move material within the warehouse

- Support the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base

- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

- Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times

- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

- Schedule transfer of material between facilities

- Drive company vehicles within the state of Wisconsin

- Perform other duties as required

Requirements For Material Handler:

- High School Diploma along with 1+ year of experience in a similar capacity

- Shipping experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals

- Knowledgeable in GMP, inspection guidelines, sanitation, dietary supplement regulations, food regulations, and product safety

- Excellent communication, organizational, planning, problem-solving, and follow-up skills

- Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group

- Forklift experience with sit-downs, stand-ups, and powered hand jacks

- Compliance with company policies and procedures and maintaining regular work attendance

- Maintain a clean driving record

- Flexibility with work hours as needed

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

- Experience with SAP

- Lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate, with occasional exposure to cold temperatures and moving mechanical parts

- Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times in designated areas. This may include wearing freezer gear, safety glasses, safety shoes, and/or gloves

- The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, operate a keyboard, and lift up to 75 lbs.
