Facility Administrative Assistant - TEMPORARY POSITION (1-3 Months)

About us

Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your Contribution
  • Use an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software system to issue and track completion of work orders, enter service reports from vendors, and create reports.
  • Use SAP to enter standard and framework PO requisitions and service entry sheets.
  • Place orders in SCHOTT Purchasing software.
  • Maintain material shipping logs and forms to insure timely turnover of repairs.
  • Maintain various logs (visitor, keys, security).
  • Create and maintain file system.
  • Coordinate task to ensure compliance with annual permits calendar.
  • Coordinate departmental requirements such as uniform needs etc.
  • With guidance from maintenance staff, obtaining quotes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with support functions such as Accounting, Logistics and Purchasing.
  • Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Profile
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in an administrative assistant role.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status is required.
