THE POSITION

The Department of Revenue is eager to welcome a Procurement, Budget, Auto and Annuity Supervisor to lead the Finance Division of the Bureau of Pennsylvania State Lottery. This position is responsible for the planning and supervision of all activities associated with the Purchasing, Annuity/Automotive, and Budget units within the Pennsylvania Lottery. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this leadership role, you will perform a full range of supervisory duties over the Purchasing, Annuity/ Automotive, and Budget units. This position supervises, plans, organizes, assigns, and evaluates the daily activities of the Purchasing division which is responsible for processing order requests, working with the Department of General Services (DGS) and Lottery staff for bids on larger orders, preparing shopping carts for work by vendors on state contract, and processing the goods receipt. Additionally, you will oversee the Annuity/Automotive section which is responsible for handling all requests by annuity winners and communicating with the insurance companies about changes or requests. Overseeing the Budget Division which handles financial related matters for the retailers will be included in your duties. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement policy and procedures for Purchasing, Annuity, Automotive, and Budget.

Additional duties to include but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the tracking of invoice processing, payments for vendors, orders, annuity and automotive work
  • Supervising budget division tasks and monitoring telephone coverage for the section
  • Updating weekly activity reports
  • Gathering supporting documentation and processing adjustments for winner intercepts

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad hoc. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess at least 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
