Associate Financial Analyst

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to M.A. Mortenson Company and related entities. This role involves developing and maintaining financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis. Strong communication skills and a commitment to flexibility, efficiency, and confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Prepare monthly SG&A reports for all business segments
  • Develop and maintain budget templates to capture, consolidate, and model financial data
  • Extract data and generate reports from various systems for periodic reporting
  • Review and reconcile accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analytical support for assigned Business Service Groups
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for intra-group cost and time allocations
  • Manage monthly expense moves for business service groups
  • Apply technical skills to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reporting, modeling, and analyses as requested
  • Document processes and procedures for inclusion in desk procedure manuals



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive data and situations with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Oracle Financials/Projects experience is a plus

The base pay range for this role is $58,100 - $78,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
