Dorothy's Market Operations Specialist

Responsible for operation and maintenance of scales for all random and fixed weight items. Assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking shelves, and store cleaning.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Ensures proper rotation of all products to maximize freshness and to reduce waste
  
  
• Manage displays of fresh and frozen protein items in display cases
  
• Provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers
  
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the store, workstations, and the clean room
  
• Assists in loading/unloading of daily Dorothy's Market trucks
  
• Works independently 90% of the time
  
• Manages customer check out through the register
  
• Stocks shelves (dry, frozen, and refrigerated) as needed
  
• Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
  

YOU MUST HAVE

• Must be at least 18 years of age
  
  
• Ability to repetitively lift weights up to 50lbs
  
• Ability to deal with pressure and work with all customers in a professional and courteous manner
  
• Effective math skills
  
• Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely
  

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Previous grocery or retail experience
  
  
• Previous computer experience
  
• Previous experience in Microsoft Excel
  

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Reclaim Specialist Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  
  
• Dorothy's Clerk Schedule: Wednesday and Thursday. Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm
  
• Job Demands: Extensive Standing/Walking on concrete
