Summary

Under the supervision of the Electromechanical (EMEC) Supervisor, the Senior EMEC Technician is responsible for electromechanical maintenance and repairs and/or construction functions. Assists in organizing, directing, and controlling the daily operations of various maintenance systems and facility projects. Insures that work activities and projects are completed on time. Assigns duties and follow ups to inspect quality of work. Insures adherence to proper procedures, local building codes, and other standards/guidelines. Assists in insuring that employees work in a safe and efficient manner. Routinely provides advice and assistance in completing the most difficult assignments. Interacts regularly with other technicians and skilled trade employees, contractors, and hospital staff.

- Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment and systems under the responsibility of the EMEC Department. Adheres to maintenance schedules that allow for optimum dependability of equipment for employees and medical staff in a safe environment for patients

- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

- Performs quality electronic and mechanical repairs in a timely manner to assure equipment readiness for departmental use.

Qualifications



  • Associates Degree (Technical Diploma) or 2 years college course work in the electro-mechanical field required
  • Three to five years job related experience in commercial industry required.
  • State of Georgia Electrical, or Mechanical License
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Any if the following: ASSE 6040 Professional Qualification, Standard for Medical Gas Maintenance Personal and ASSE 6030 Professional Qualification Standard for Medical Gas System Verifiers.
