Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Neuro-Oncologist and/or Neurologist

    MSK's Department of Neurology invites qualified applicants to apply for this exciting Neuro-Oncologist and/or Neurologist position. We invite neuro-oncology candidates or neurology-trained applicants with a broad interest in general neurology (seizures, neuropathy, stroke, memory loss, etc.) within a cancer population.
  • The MSK Department of Neurology consists of two services: a) Neuro-Oncology and Cancer Neurology and b) Cancer Rehabilitation. MSK's integrated network extends from Southern New Jersey to Eastern Long Island.
  • The Neuro-Oncology and Cancer Neurology Service includes 18 fellowship-trained neuro-oncologists and 6 cancer neurologists and 7 advanced practice providers.
  • The clinical trial portfolio offers cutting edge therapies to patients suffering with the full spectrum of CNS cancers and complications or cancer.

Key Requirements

  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated specialists in Neurosurgery, Neuropathology, Neuroradiology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology.
  • Attend outpatient clinic in Manhattan and other regional locations (i.e., Long Island or NJ). Attend on inpatient and consult services.
  • Support will be provided from professionally trained staff, including an office coordinator, clinical and research coordinators, an office practice nurse, and research protocol nurses.
  • Opportunities to mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Support for research and innovation with infrastructure for clinical trials
  • Lead the continued growth and development of a world class program in neuro-oncology.

Application Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a M.D., MD/PhD or DO, be Board certified or board eligible in neurology and/or neuro-oncology, and/or the ability to obtain a New York Medical License.
  • Clinical and research interest in primary and metastatic CNS tumors required.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship training program in neuro-oncology and/or neurology required.
