Position: Senior Accountant II Location: Schaumburg, IL (Hybrid-3 Days Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, including journal preparation, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement oversight. The role requires strong attention to detail, financial analysis, and effective collaboration with the Accounting, Finance teams, and other business departments. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist with reporting and ad hoc projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all relevant entries are posted accurately and on time.
  • Revenue Recognition: Ensure revenue transactions are accurately recorded and in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
  • Revenue Reporting and Reconciliations: Prepare monthly revenue reports, reconcile revenue accounts, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Administration: Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations at month-end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Administer the Blackline reconciliation tool, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation processes across various accounts.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Provide accounting support to the Accounting, Finance teams and other business units to ensure seamless operations and resolve any financial issues.
  • Additional Support: Offer financial and accounting support to other functions within the organization as needed.

Travel Required: Some travel is required, up to 20%.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Senior Accountant position capacity.
  • Working proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Oracle preferred or similar is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and provide solutions and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships and foster collaboration.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Proficiency with Excel

Key Tasks:

  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Working with other peers to build the Finance function for Natus Sensory

Pay Transparency: Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education. Salary Range: $85,000 to $120,000 plus 4% bonus.
